SBI Clerk Prelims Result 2021: Normalization of Marks

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts its clerical cadre recruitment examination in various shifts. The question papers are different for different sessions. So, to have a valid evaluation, the scores secured by the candidates in each shift is normalized. The candidates’ scores are determined on the basis of the normalization process. 

The normalization of the marks shall be carried out using the equity-percentile process. The percentile rank of the candidates in each shift is calculated. Scores of up to two decimal points shall be provided for calculation purposes. After normalization, the final scores are rounded to two decimal digits. The cut off percentile is then decided based on the vacancies. After that, the candidates are shortlisted as per the cut off marks for the further process.

SBI Provisional Allotment 2021

Candidates will have to clear the Mains cutoff to be eligible for provisional allotment. Depending on the number of the (State/UT wise) vacancies available and merit cum preference, the cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be considered for provisional allotment. The marks scored in the Mains exam will be normalized to 100 and the final merit list will be prepared.
